Ebonyi stateGovernor, David Umahi over the weekend reiterated his commitment to operate anopen and transparent government.

He made thecommitment at the inauguration of the 32 member steering committee of the OpenGovernment Partnership (OGP) and the launch of its action plan for 2018 2020.

The Governorwho spoke through his deputy barrister Eric Kelechi Igwe PhD reaffirmedgovernments commitment to the Open Government Partnership Programme.

He describedthe OGP programme as a unique Programme that involved the civil Society andGovernment and was confident that the partnership will be sustained for thegood of Ebonyi people.

Earlier thefocal person of OGP and commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Ebonyi state, MrsUgo Nnachi, appreciated the state for joining the OGP Global family especiallyat this time when the entire world was talking about Transparency,Accountability and good Governance.
